ballet is all about rules, poses and form. the feeling of a ballet slipper hugging your foot is like no other foot wear. many designers have tried to reproduce that feeling of comfort, and my foot has considered them failures. if only there was a designer who could compare to the classic capezio ballet slipper. sure, go ahead and pirouette around town in them (as my mother did in her twenties) but watch out for the occasional puddle.
so these studded flats found on
bona drag are unique, but id appreciate it if they didn't give off such a strong amy winehouse vibe. maybe someone can design some capezios with buttons or small silver flowers. maybe my sister-in-law who is taking a shoe design course in london next month. what do you say yasemin?
