bill cunningham made a great observation during his "on the street" slideshow on nytimes.com. he said that shoes are taking over the spotlight. i can agree with that. bags are becoming more understated and simple, while shoes are being adorned with bondage-like straps, and the heels are sky-rocketing to the 5inch mark. how can you not notice them? 

well this afternoon, i dug the barneys shoe catalogue out of the mail, and i drooled over shoes. i jumped on net-a-porter, and found these adorable chloe heels. with the collar-like detail.  subtle yet wonderfully decorative.
